Nora Jean Martindale age 82 of Coffeyville, entered her eternal resting place on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas
Jean was born on February 16, 1935 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Leonard Charles and Gaye E. (Young) Bradley. Jean grew up in Coffeyville also graduating from Field Kindley High School, she attended Coffeyville Community College obtaining her associate degree that advanced in her career as a Cancer Registrar. As a young woman she married Norman Martindale, the couple relocated to Utah and Arizona before returning to Coffeyville. The couple later divorced, of that union two children were born. Later in life Jean married Harold Smith, they made their home in Topeka, Kansas, the couple later divorced. Jean returned to Coffeyville, where she worked for CRMC until she retired after fifteen years of service.
Those surviving cherishing their memories of Jean are; daughter Laura Lea Martindale, sister-in-law, Jo Eva Bradley of Largo, Florida, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Tim Martindale; sister, Wanda Lamb; brothers, Norman Bradley, Walter "Bud" Bradley, Gayle Bradley.
Funeral services will be held at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 10 am with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are welcome to come sign the registrar from noon to 5 pm on Tuesday. The family suggest memorial contributions be made payable to Mosaic SEK-Coffeyville Activity Fund, 1206 S Elm St., Coffeyville, Kansas contributions may be left in care of the chapel.
