Norma J. Howard, age 80, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the her home in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Assembly of God Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Friends may sign the register book from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2012 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
The family has suggested memorials in honor of Norma Howard be made to the Assembly of God Church or the Amazing Grace Chapel and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Norma J. Howard was born January 6, 1932 in Nowata County, Oklahoma to William Oscar and Pearl Smith McClure. She grew up in Lenepah, Oklahoma and attended the Lenapah School District. Norma worked at NuWay Food Liner, Pinkerton as a security guard and Windsor Home Health Care. She was a member of the Amazing Grace Chapel and most recently attended the Assembly of God Church. Norma loved to paint, collect dolls, gardening, spending time with grandkids, fishing and going to Church. Norma was baptized at the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include three sons Jerry D. and wife Kristy Shamblin of Liberty, Kansas, Brandon Shamblin of Coffeyville, Kansas and Bryan Shamblin of Elk City, Kansas two daughters Carol Jean Hood of Coffeyville, Kansas and Doris M. and husband Robert Testerman of Cherryvale, Kansas two brothers William Bill and wife Donna McClure of Coffeyville, Kansas and Kenneth and wife Shirley McClure of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma one sister Beulah and husband Gerald Wisley of Coffeyville, Kansas Grandchildren Kevin Shamblin, Misty Shamblin, Steven Taylor, Keith Shamblin, Joe Douglas, Angela Douglas, Tim Douglas, Jennifer D. Foster, Justin Schmidt, Jeremy Hutton, numerous step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son George A. Shamblin daughter Sherry Cleerman sisters Nellie Oneslager, Maxine Wilson, and Christine Miller grandchildren Tammy Grove and Timothy Douglas.
