Norman Hugo

Norman E. Hugo age 65 of Coffeyville, passed away on December 4, 2021 at his home with his wife at his side.

Norman was born in Coffeyville on July 28, 1956 to Kenneth and Dorothy (Babb) Hugo. He attended local schools and never wanted to move away from Coffeyville. Norman was a true blue “Coffeyvilleian” he was born, bred, raised, and spent his entire life in Coffeyville. He said Coffeyville was a place for families away from the hustle and bustle of large cities. Norman chose his profession as a mechanic, because his love for cars far exceeded his interest in anything else except rock and roll music. His nickname of Stormin’ Norman comes from his dislike of storms that could damage his vehicles from hail or debris. So at first sign of bad weather, he would head home to garage his vehicle then sit on the porch to watch and enjoy the storm. The last two years had him enjoying and cherishing his grandson Milo.

Norman’s memories will live on with his wife of 27 years, Denece, mother Dorothy Hugo, children; Angelica Lara, Lorelei Wiles her husband Jeramiha, Kelli Egermeier, Keith Garcia his wife Jona, Eric Garcia, Alex Garcia, and Reyna Ponce de Leon, brothers; Terry Hugo his wife Mary, Ron Hugo his wife Barbara, Richard Hugo, and Kevin Hugo, grandchildren; Reagan, Kiwii, Abigail, Riley, Christopher, Logan, Jacob, Claudia, Taylor-Jo, and Milo Garcia.

He now rests with his father.
