Novella Tuttle

Novella Tuttle, age 89 of Coffeyville, passed away on October 23, 2016 at Medicalodge of Coffeyville.

Novella was born on October 15, 1927 in Warren County Kentucky to Harry and Nora (Burchett) Butler. She attended Alvaton Schools. Novella started working as a seamstress as a young woman. She met Maurice Tuttle a traveling musician while he and the band were playing at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the couple were united in marriage on December 17, 1949. To this union they were blessed with eight children. The family moved to various places in Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and making their home in Coffeyville in 1982. Novella found employment with Sunnyview Nursing Home and then with Medicalodge where she devoted over 20 years of service until her retirement at the age of 77. Novella was a very friendly person, at the same time she was a little ornery, she never knew a stranger. She enjoyed crocheting, Bingo, yard sales, and playing games.

Left to honor her memory are her children, sons; James Tuttle, Larry Tuttle his wife Nora, Michael Tuttle, Tommy Tuttle his wife Crystal, daughters; Judy Felts, Vickie Grissom her husband Brian, and Eva Larimar her husband Roger, daughter-in-law Bonnie Butler, a sister Barbara Butler Wilson, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maurice, son, Bobby W Butler, brothers, Joseph W Butler and James H Butler, and a sister Elsie Nelson.

Funeral services under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 1:00pm Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church with Pastor John Dixon officiating. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Chapel.
