Oneita Phernon (Davis) Keller passed away on April 22, 2019, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was 95.
Oneita was born on October 19, 1923 in Loco Oklahoma to John Tim Davis and Ruth (Davis) Davis. She married James Elmer Keller on February 12, 1939 in Vinita, Oklahoma. Together they raised three children. Oneita worked in a variety of jobs during her lifetime, including the Parsons Ammunition Plant during World War II, and home health in the Coffeyville and Independence area.
She loved sewing and quilting, and enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family. Oneita was a devoted and active member of the Church of Christ in Coffeyville for over 50 years where she worked in the bus ministry, church camp, and the sharing center. She was a godly example and servant to everyone that she met, and loved telling people about Jesus.
Oneita is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Gene Brady of Coffeyville; her son, Don Keller, of Coshocton Ohio; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and eight great- great grandchildren with two more on the way. She also has numerous beloved family members in California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Virginia Burns (d. 2010), and her siblings. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Coffeyville Church of Christ and they may be sent in care of Ford Wulf Bruns Chapel.
Cremation has taken place, and her Celebration of Life will be at the Coffeyville Church of Christ on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive visitors on Friday April 26, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ford Wulf Bruns Chapel.
