PATRICIA LAVON OSGOOD 1927-2005 Patricia Lavon Osgood, age 78, of Route 4, Coffeyville, died Saturday, July 30, 2005 at 4:20 a.m. in St. Mary39;s Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. She was born February 26, 1927 in Wichita, Kansas to Charles Edgar Adkins and Myrtie Edith Ohmart Adkins, at home. She moved to Coffeyville, attending public schools. At age 11, her family moved to Cherryvale where she continued her education. On December 18, 1943, she married George Everett Osgood in Lubbock, Texas. They were married for 44 years until Mr. Osgood passed away on September 9, 1987. Patricia was past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star Coffeyville Chapter No. 112, a member of First Presbyterian Church, member of Twenturian Club, and a member 55-Plus Activity Center of Bartlesville. She managed Adkins Oil Company, Cherryvale, Kansas from 1980 through 1987. Patricia enjoyed dancing immensely and attended senior citizens dances around the area. She also had been a delivery volunteer for Meals-On-Wheels. Surviving are special friend John Jordon, one daughter, Jean Paulette Young of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; two sons Charles Osgood and wife Connie of Enid, Oklahoma and Everett Osgood and wife Denise of Overland Park, Kansas; one sister, Elizabeth Confer of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one brother Charles Adkins of Napa, California; six grandchildren and 23 loving and caring nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George and her parents. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2005 with the family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf Bruns Chapel with the Reverend Larry Cracraft officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 1821 University Avenue W., Suite S256, St. Paul, Minnesota, 55104 or to the American Heart Association, Memorial Contribution Processing Center, P.O.
