Paul E. Fast, 88, Panama City, Florida and formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Bay Medical Center, Panama City. Paul was born January 4, 1921 at Stillwater, Oklahoma to John Day Fast and Myrtle Bowen Fast. He came to Coffeyville at an early age and grew up there until entering the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1945. Upon honorable discharge, he was employed by the FAA as an aircraft inspector and retired in 1985. Paul was an active member of First Assembly of God Church, Panama City. He leaves a wonderful church family who loved and cared for him and Louise in their time of need. Survivors include his wife, Louise Bishop Fast of the home; a son, Roger Burke and his wife, Gloria of Mobile, Alabama and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Pauls life was held Sunday, November 22 at Southerland Family Funeral Home of Panama City. Graveside services were held, Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville, with Pastor Harrel Jones officiating. Service and interment are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Donations may be made to First Assembly of God Missions and may be left with the funeral home.
