Paul "Rick" Griffiths Jr age 63 of Coffeyville passed away on December 8, 2017 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.
Rick was born in Coffeyville on February 3, 1954 to Paul and Arlene (Kauffman) Griffiths. He attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1972. Rick then continued his education at Coffeyville Community Junior College earning his associates degree. After college he found employment as a machinist at Jensen's where he worked for 35 years, he also worked at Sektam and retired from Parmac. He was united in marriage on July 12, 1975 to Rebecca Rauch at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Rick loved to hunt, some of his favorite hunts were deer, turkey, dove, and even a bear hunt in Canada. He also enjoyed traveling to Mexico to go scuba diving. Rick will always be remembered as a truly happy person, he always had a smile and would be heard singing or whistling. He loved joking with family and friends, always kind and thoughtful of others, and an excellent cook. Rick was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the NRA.
Rick's memories will live on with his wife Rebecca, his parents, Paul and Arlene, his sisters; Joyce Griffiths Berry and Dana Braet her husband Steve, father and mother-in-law Carl and Lavona Rauch sister-in-law Karla Cambron her husband Joel, brother-in-law Ralph Rauch his wife Becky, nieces; Jill Berry Rampacek her husband Tony, Rachel Wagenknecht her husband Xavier, nephews; Anthony Jo Berry, Taylor Braet his wife Leah, Corey Braet his wife Sarah, Isaac Cambron his wife Anu, and Isaiah Cambron his wife Alyssa, 8 great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 16, 2017 at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Nicole Schwartz-Eck officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the First United Methodist Church or to the American Diabetes Association and they may be sent in care of the Chapel.
