Pauline Theodora Gavrilys, 92, passed away on September 24, 2013 at her home in Coffeyville, Kansas with family by her side.

Pauline was born on August 2, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan to James Theodore and Mary Theodora Gavrilys. She graduated high school in Detroit and received her Associates Degree at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas.

She was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Wichita, Kansas and Tulsa, Oklahoma and St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Pauline worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C. and was restaurant entrepreneur with the New York Grill Teds Famous Grill and Caesars Supper Club in Coffeyville, Kansas.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Played in bowling leagues. Enjoyed traveling worldwide visiting friends and family in Australia and Greece. Loved her animals, growing flowers and figs watching Wheel of Fortune, Dancing with the Stars and listening to Frank Sinatra.
Survivors include sisters in law, Judy Gavrilys of Coffeyville, Kansas, Mary Ann Gavrilys of Plainfield, Illinois cousin, Jacqueline Block of Naples, Florida nieces and nephews, Teddy Jacque and Karen Gavrilys of Coffeyville, Kansas, Denise and Steve Boone of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Lori and Eric Dick of Coffeyville, Kansas, Kristi and Ray Marshall of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Teddy James Gavrilys of Plainfield, Illinois, Tina and Michael Lehpalmer of Plainfield, Illinios great nephew Amos Gavrilys of Coffeyville, Kansas and godchild Jacque and Andy Hobbs of Coffeyville, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mary Gavrilys brothers, Jacque Gavrilys and James Gavrilys and a godchild, Paula Gavrilys.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. Reverend Antoinette Tackkett will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Friends may call on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. to sign the guest register at FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Gavrilys Endowment Scholarship at Coffeyville Community College or the VFW Ladies Auxiliary these may be left with the funeral home or mailed to the funeral home at P O Box 468, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
