Penny Gayle Reinlein, 46, Independence, KS, died November 29, 2009 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS. Penny was born August 14, 1963 at Coffeyville, Kansas. She grew up in Coffeyville and then moved to Columbus, Kansas as a teenager, before returning to Coffeyville her senior year and graduating from Coffeyvilles Field Kindley High School. She attended Coffeyville Community College studying business and TV broadcasting. Penny was a KCACLA amp; CAP graduate. Penny worked as a CAN and the past three years for CROs Nest, first as Activities Director and later as a driver for the organization. She and John Reinlein were married February 2, 1996 at Coffeyville and had lived in Independence for the past nine years. Penny was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church and enjoyed crafting, sewing and cooking. She was a person who truly enjoyed helping people. Survivors include her husband, John, of the home; a son, Michael Crites of Coffeyville; one aunt, Catherine Murray of Coffeyville; two cousins, Ed Murray of Coffeyville and Elizabeth Scott of Wichita, and other relatives including Robert Crites of Great Bend, Kansas and Becky Crites, Pamela Crites and Beth Jones, all of Coffeyville. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Belle Ranes. A Holy Eucharist service will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 3:00 p.m., at Coffeyvilles St. Pauls Episcopal Church with Father Jerry Adinolfi officiating. Committal will follow in Coffeyvilles Fairview Cemetery.
