Philip M. Morris Coffeyville resident, Philip M. Morris entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Coffeyville. He was 63. Philip was born October 22, 1943 in Coffeyville to Lawrence and Wilma Hanes Morris. He grew up in Coffeyville and graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1961. On August 24, 1963 he married Carol Park. The couple was married at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. After their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Philip was employed at Funk Manufacturing for 35 years and he retired in 1999. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but his favorite hobby was collecting cookie jars. He was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree. Philip is survived by his loving wife Carole Morris of the home, son Philip Morris II and wife Kathleen, Daughter Cindy and husband Don Boomershine, five grandchildren, his mother Wilma G. Morris all of Coffeyville, two sisters Barbara Strope of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Janet Seery of Jameson, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence J.Red Morris. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday June 29, 2007, at the Holy Name Catholic Church. Father Jerome Spexarth will officiate and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home to sign the guest register. The Rosary Service will be held at 7 p.m., at Holy Name Catholic Church.
