Phyllis Cook

Phyllis Jean Cook age 95, of Coffeyville, KS passed away on February 23, 2017 at Windsor Place of Coffeyville.

Phyllis was born in Coffeyville on September 28, 1921 to Thomas and Alice (Mills) Higginson. She attended Coffeyville Schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School. Phyllis continued her education at Coffeyville Community College where she earned an associate's degree. After college she met and married Delbert "Toby" Cook on February 16, 1946. The couple made their home in Edna, where they raised three children. They later moved back to Coffeyville. Phyllis was a very humble, quiet, and reserved lady. She took pride in her home and raising her children, she also loved to care for her flower garden.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her children; Vikki Rhodes, Lynda Durham her husband George, and Bill Cook; a sister Mary Lou Smith, grandchildren; Lisa Patino, Craig Rhodes, Pennie Stong, and Jarrod Webb, and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Toby, sisters, Betty Griffin and Doris Blevins, brothers, Tom and Donald Higginson.
