Phyllis Loffer

Phyllis A. Loffer 1932 2006 Phyllis A. Loffer, age 74, lifetime Coffeyville, Kansas resident entered into rest on Sunday, September 3, 2006 in Kansas City, Kansas at the KU Medical Center. She was born on August 2, 1932 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Wilbur D. Allen and Edna I Bishop Allen Pate. Phyllis was a 1950 graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School. She also attended Coffeyville Community College. On December 25, 1950 she married Bob G. Loffer in Treece, Kansas. Mr. Loffer preceded her in death on September 13, 2005. Phyllis was the Athletic Secretary for the Field Kindley Memorial High School from 1972 1985. Phyllis and Bob purchased Convenient Food Mart in 1985 and sold it in 1990. In 1992 Phyllis was a full time volunteer for the American Red Cross where she served as a Board Member with the Pioneer Chapter, Coffeyville, Ks. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Coffeyville, KS. Survivors include: One son, John R. Loffer, Coffeyville, Ks. Two daughters, Annette Harbaugh, Coffeyville, Ks.; Amy Sallee, Coffeyville, Ks. Six Grandchildren and Two great-grandchildren She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Susan. Calling hoursVisitation: Mrs. Loffer will lie in state on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the First Southern Baptist Church Coffeyville, Kansas. Rev. Richard Jenkins will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas. Memorials: Pioneer Chapter of the American Red Cross or First Southern Baptist Church both of Coffeyville, Ks.
