Ralph E. Spencer, 89 of Dodge City, Kansas passed away Tuesday January 12, 2016 at Good Samaritan Society of Olathe Kansas.
He was born October 12, 1926 to Herbert and Mary Spencer in Nowata County, Oklahoma. Following his graduation from Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas he proudly served in the United Sates Navy from Jan 1944 to July 1946 during World War II. Ralph married his high school sweetheart Mildred L. Johnson on April 4, 1948 in Coffeyville, Kansas. She preceded him in death after 55 years of marriage in October 2004. He retired from SW Bell/AT&T after 43 years of service.
Left to honor his memory are his children, Christena Frasco (Dennis) Wichita, Kansas, Curtis Spencer (Donna), Mesa, Arizona, and Corey Spencer (Julie) of Lenexa, Kansas, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and sister Dorothy Bradford Arvada, Colorado.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 16, 2016 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Chaplin Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. To honor his life, a memorial fund has been set up at One Spark Foundation of Wichita, Kansas and memorials may be left with the Chapel.
