Rhoda Davis

Rhoda Mae Davis 1913 2007 Rhoda Mae Davis, age 93 Windsor Place resident entered into rest on January 5, 2007. She was born January 13, 1913 to Edward and Jennie Rainey Allen in Bartlett, Kansas. She attended Bartlett schools as a child and was an Altamont High School graduate in the Class of 1931. She married Oliver Dousette. He preceded her in death. She later married Howard Davis. He also preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis moved to Ontario, California in 1982 to spend time with her son Oliver Jr. and his family. She returned to Coffeyville in 2001 where she resided until her death. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She was active in the Christians Womens Club in Coffeyville. Survivors include: One daughter, Mayola Ryan and husband Robert, Coffeyville, Ks. 4 grandchildren, Linda Hines, Steve Holder, Kenneth Holder amp; Mike Dousette, 6 great grandchildren, Tirsha Howard, Joshua and Trenton Hines, Chad, Sarah, and Jess Holder, and 2 great-great grandchildren MaeJaun and Kodi Howard. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Oliver Dousette, Jr. Calling hoursVisitation: Mrs. Davis will lie in state on Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS. Graveside services will be held on Monday, 11:00 a.m., at the Lake Creek Cemetery, Bartlett, Kansas. Family and friends will gather at the graveside prior to services. Rev. Rich Jenkins of the First Southern Baptist Church of Coffeyville will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice co Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
