Coffeyville resident, Robert K. Sarge Heale, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 21, 2007 in Coffeyville. He was 77. Robert was born January 26, 1930 in Coffeyville, the son of Robert Kinnaman and Mildred Taylor Heale, Sr. He grew up and attended schools in Coffeyville. He married Rosalea Ann Gillman on January 6, 1953 in Nowata, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1945. He also served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1976. Having served 30 years in the military, he retired in May, 1976. Sarge loved being outdoors and he worked with Scouting for many years. He loved children and adored his dog, Princess. He was a member of the Dearing Christian Church and the VFW Post 1022. He is survived by his wife, Rosalea, of the home; sisters, Beverly Ann Humphrey of Chetopa, Kansas and Marie K. Gurskey of Sedan, Kansas; and several loving and caring neices, nephews, great-neices and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billie Jim and Johnnie Blackford; and sister, Patricia Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Pastor Jamie Regis of the Dearing Christian Church will officiate, assisted by Pastor James Wright of the Church of God. Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home to sign the guest register. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dearing Christian Church. These may be left with the funeral home.
