Robert Henderson Jr

Robert Lee Henderson Jr, age 67 of Coffeyville passed away on January 8, 2017 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.

Robert "Bob" Lee Henderson Jr. was born on January 7, 1950 to Robert Lee and Ramona (White) Henderson in Independence, Kansas. Bob graduated from Caney High School in 1969. Bob met the love of his life Cynthia White and they married on December 16, 1973 in Independence, Kansas. Bob and Cindy made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas where they owned and operated Riverside Salvage together, they had just celebrated their 43rd Anniversary. Bob had a great passion for loving his family and friends, restoring old vintage cars, Harley Davison Motor Cycles and car shows.

Bob was also known as "Honest Bob" to some, he was a very caring, tender hearted man that was very generous. To some he was known as "Crazy Bob" not because of his shenanigans, he also had a very stern side that could be feared by some, he was strong minded and opinionated. Bob has always done things in his life that he wanted and enjoyed, he didn't like to be told what to do, and that's why he and Cindy complemented each other so well. They each had interest that personalized them and a marriage that complemented them. His friends have commented that he was a "Legend".

Bob is survived by his wife, Cindy of the home; daughter, Hayley Crawford and her husband, Don of Coffeyville, KS; the apple of his eye, granddaughter, Alexis Crawford; brothers, Ron Henderson, John Young and his wife Mary, of Caney, KS; sister, Sharon Kruger of Austin, TX; step-mother, Maureen Henderson; numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Bob will be under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm, the family will receive friends from 11 am until service time. Ron Henderson will be officiating the service for his "Big Brother".
