Robert Arthur Versaw, 71, passed away March 8, 2012, in Branson, Missouri. He was born on April 8, 1940, the son of Paul, Jr. and Fern McDaniel Versaw in Ainsworth, Nebraska. He attended Bethany Nazarene College majoring in Religion. On August 12, 1967, he married Vivian Manning in Coffeyville. He had a forty year career for the U.S. Postal Service working as a clerk and later as a postmaster. He was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville, as he was a lifetime Nazarene who was actively involved in the church. He was currently working at the Coffeyville WalMart as a cashier and door greeter. Surviving are his wife, Reverend Vivian Versaw, Coffeyville sons, Larry Heidi Versaw, Spring Hill, Kansas, and John Rachel Versaw, Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania daughters, Michelle fianc, Harvey Hayes Neel, Yukon, Oklahoma, and Christina Scott Stewart brothers, Francis Joy Versaw, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Gene Linda Versaw, Lincoln, Nebraska, Paul Dori Versaw, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Duane Myra Versaw, Grand Island, Nebraska sister, Helen Marvin Winstryg, Bismark, North Dakota fatherinlaw, Ralph Manning, Coffeyville sisterinlaw, Joy Manning, Coffeyville and grandchildren, Jarred Versaw, Miranda Versaw, Justin Neel, Olivia Versaw, Isaiah Versaw, and Isabella Stewart. He is preceded in death by his parents daughter, Cheryl Versaw and sister, Pauline Versaw. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Central Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville, Kansas. Burial will follow at Ft. Scott National Cemetery, Ft. Scott, Kansas, at 2:30 p.m. with military honors . Friends may call at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel, Coffeyville, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 1 to 8 p.m. to sign the guest register, with family receiving visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Central Church of the Nazarene.
