Robert Wright

Robert Christopher Wright, 83, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at CRMC. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Stephens, Arkansas in a private service.

Bob was born on July 27, 1930 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Oren and Annie C. Wynns Wright. Bobs parents built and operated the Pig Stand where he spent his early years. He graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1948 and granted an Associate Degree in 1950 from Coffeyville Junior College.

Bob owned and operated Wright Liquor in Coffeyville. He held the oldest liquor license in the State of Kansas obtained on May 4, 1953.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Oren Bud Wright, and a nephew Michael Wright. He is survived by a sisterinlaw Mary Wright and a great niece Kristen, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Surviving cousins who grew up in Coffeyville are Roger Blake, Kingfisher, Oklahoma Terry Blake, Mineola, Texas Donald Lee, Tulsa, Oklahoma Joe Mc Nulty, Gardner, Kansas and Margaret Mc Nulty Benefiel, Wichita, Kansas.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Coffeyville Friends of Animals, the Coffeyville Historical Society, or the Coffeyville Police Department Explorer Post 2014 these may also be left with the funeral home. Arrangements were handled by FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
