Ronald Gene Stoneking, age 79, of Coffeyville, Kansas, died 24, 2011. Ronald was born February 5, 1932 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Simms Everett and Edna May Tesh Stoneking. He attended Nowata schools through High School. He graduated from Coffeyville Jr. College, after which he served two years in the U.S. Army. He then attended and graduated from Oklahoma A amp M with a Bachelors Degree. On January 24, 1958 he married Patricia Ann Martin in Coffeyville. He worked at the Coffeyville Journal in classified advertising, with Heers Department Store in Springfield, Missouri as Assistant Advertising Manager and then returned to Coffeyville to be the Ad Manager of Gibson Discount Center. He retired in 1995 from Liebert Brothers Electric in Coffeyville as Department Manager and front sales. He was baptized in the First Christian Church of Nowata, Oklahoma and had currently transferred his membership to the First United Methodist Church of Coffeyville. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed yard work and reading. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of the home, his son, Vance Alan Stoneking of Colorado, two daughters Tamara Jean Mangan of Virginia and Tricia Dee Dubbert Kevin of McPherson, Kansas a sister, Shirlene June Slack Wilson of The Coves at Grand Lake six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, Jeffrey Martin Stoneking. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011. Burial at Fairview Cemetery. PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in assisting in arrangements.
