RonniePappy Garnett died January 10, 2009. He was 62. He passed away after a short battle with cancer. Born December 12, 1946 in Mexico, Missouri to CleoBuck and Dorothy Chapman Garnett. He attended school in Mexico, Missouri. On March 7, 1970 he married Wanda Groves in Moberly Missouri. He worked for Bill Marsh Construction and the Kansas City Star. He was an active member in A.D.A.P.T. which fought for the rights of the disabled. He was on the Board of Directors for S.K.I.L. of Parsons, Kansas. He was also a lifetime member of ABATE Dist 3 of Kansas. He had a love for motorcycles and attending area rallies. He is survived by his wife; brother, Don Iris Garnett of Fulton, Missouri; daughters, Kathy Barr, Jennifer Garnett both of Parsons, Kansas, Melissa Young of Tonganoxie, Kansas, Pam Ronnie Kitterman of Liberty, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Dustin, Kayleen, Christopher, Joshua, Jessie, Paige, Abigail; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother GaryMoose Garnett. Services will be held Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Chaplain Mike Graham will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. to sign the guest register. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Southeast Kansas Independent Living S.K.I.L. these may be left with the funeral home.
