Rosalie Ann Englund, 83, formerly of Coffeyville, KS, died Wednesday, March 24, in Round Rock, TX. Rosalie was born December 8, 1926 at Oklahoma City, OK and moved to Coffeyville early in life. She attended Coffeyville schools and during high school was adopted and changed her name to Rosalie Pasco. She met Raymond Eugene Englund while at Field Kindley High School, where they both graduated in 1945. Ray graduated from Coffeyville Jr. College in 1948 and the couple were married on September 3, 1949. The Englunds lived in Pittsburg, KS while Ray attended Kansas State Teachers College and moved back to Coffeyville in 1950. Rosalie worked for Unified School District 445 for 25 years. She also worked at NuWay Foodliner and Condon National Bank. Rosalie loved to sew and made several lap quilts for her family. She also enjoyed latch hooking rugs. Her family was very important to her, as she spent much of her adult life caring for grandparents and parents. Rosalie and her mother lived together from 1979 to Louises death in 1991. She was a dog lover and always had a dog in her lap or at her feet. Her cocker spaniel, Buffy, was her companion for 13 years. Rosalie was a long time member of Coffeyville First Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She was a devoted Christian and shared her passion with those around her. In any situation, her rule for life was,let go, let God. Rosalie moved to Texas in 2004 to live with her daughter, Vicki and her grandsons. Survivors include one daughter, Vicki Bonilla of Round Rock, TX four grandsons, Eric Bonilla and his wife, Tracie of Rowlette, TX, Christopher Ortiz and his wife, Monica of San Antonio,TX, Don Bonilla of Round Rock and Stephen Bonilla and his fiancee, Tori Prouse of Denton, TX and three greatgrandchildren, Nathen Ray Bonilla, Alyssa Dru Bonilla and Alana Rae Ortiz as well as other relatives of Purcell, OK and in Arkansas and Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, on Feb. 14, 1971 by her grandparents, William and Mary FlorenceDaisy Seifried by her adopted father, EverettBumpie Brooks by her mother, Mary Louise Pasco and by a son, Richard Ellis Englund. Funeral service will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel with Dr. Wayne Norton officiating. Interment will be in Coffeyvilles Fairview Cemetery under the direction of PenwellGabel Funeral Home.
