ROSEMARY JOE TIPTON Former Coffeyville resident, Rosemary Joe Tipton died January 14, 2008 in Aloha, Oregon. She was 90. Rosemary was born and raised in Coffeyville, Kansas to Jesse Leroy and Vera Bun Starring Skinner. Mr. Skinner was the former owner of Skinner Funeral Home. She grew up and attended Field Kindley High School amp; Coffeyville Junior College where she met her husband. She married Arthur Lee Tipton October 26, 1934. They traveled with Arthurs work as a Steamfitter for many years, until they settled in Pocatello, Idaho in the early 1950s. In the mid 1960s they moved back to Coffeyville to take care of Marys father. They later moved to Bernice, Oklahoma in the Skinner Cabins in the Indian Hills Cove on GrandLake. They owned Tips Sport Shop in Bernice Oklahoma. Her grandchildren spent many fun filled hours on the lake with her learning to swim and fish. She was a friend to all and a wonderful mother amp; wife. She laughed, played and loved a lot. We will all miss her very much. She is survived by a son, Gregory Tipton, and a daughter, Sharon Grimes. There are 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday January 25, 2008 at the Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Friday from Noon until 1:30 PM at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home in Coffeyville to sign the guest book.
