Ruby Phelps

Ruby Eileen Phelps passed away on December 27, 2014 at the age of 93.

She was born to Melville and Carrie Heideman in Cherryvale, KS on September 20, 1921. She had a long and happy marriage to the love of her life Jim Phelps who died in 2004. Her brother Melville M. Heideman preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving sister Delores Dee Sullivan of Wentzville, MO., her 2 sons, Stephen Phelps of St. Louis, MO and Randy Phelps of Gunnison, CO. Ruby was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Michael Phelps, Natalie Phelps Tucker, Lisa Phelps Bowles, Suzanne Phelps Pilsl, Lesley Phelps Kennedy, and 7 GreatGrandchildren. She was Aunt to 2 nieces and 4 nephews, cousin to many, but most of all she was the devoted wife of Jim. Ruby loved finding a bargain at a yard sale, watching sports on TV dressed in her teams jersey and her many pets through the years.
