Ruby Marie Pomrenke Coffeyville resident, Ruby Marie Pomrenke, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in Coffeyville, Kansas. She wes 85. Ruby was born on March 17, 1922 in Mountain Grove, MO, to Joseph and Bessie Boyer Mathis. She attended schools in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1940. On May 17, 1941 she married Clarence Bud Pomrenke in Independence, Kansas. They made their home in Coffeyville where Ruby was a full-time homemaker. They were married for 61 years before he preceded her in death on July 3, 2002. She was a member of the Tyro Christian Church in Tyro, Kansas. Survivors include son, Bobby Pomrenke and his wife, Cheryl of Webb City, MO, and daughter, Sue Lester, and husband Calvin of Coffeyville; brother, Murrell Mathis of Scottsdale, Arizona; four granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Vernon, Hershel and Arthur Mathis and sister, Leota Foutty. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at the Tyro Christian Church in Tyro, Kansas. Greg Strickland and David Bycroft will officiate. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel39;s Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville, KS. . Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home in Coffeyville to sign the guest register.
