Russell Coble 1921 2006 Russell Coble, age 84, passed away on March 11, 2006 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas. He was born October 26, 1921 to Leslie B. and Minnie W. Coble Coble in Everton, Missouri. He was raised and lived most all of his life in Dearing, Kansas. He was a Field Kindley Memorial High School Graduate. He served in the US Army. He was a WWII Veteran. He served from April 16, 1943 January 27, 1946. He was honorably discharged. He worked for Continental Can and retired from Public Works Department of Montgomery County. He was owneroperator of a restaurant in Dearing, Kansas. Mr. Coble is a member of the Dearing Christian Church, VFW Post 1022 of Coffeyville, Kansas. He was a Dearing Volunteer Fireman. Survivors include: 6 nieces, Esther Fair Darrel, Coffeyville; Linda Odom Ron, Kingwood, Tx.; Barbara Frikken Bob, Fort Collins, Co.; Janet Carnes David, Independence, Ks.; Leslie Hertz Mark, Lenexa, Ks.; Gayle Johnson Ricky, Lawrence, Ks. 2 nephews, Dan Coble Debbie, Cottonwood, Az.; Tim Coble Kelly Wheatridge, Co. 9 great nephews, 13 great nieces and several great great nephews and great great nieces. He was preceded in death by parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 nephew. Calling hoursvisitation: Mr. Coble will lie in state on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas 67337. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas 67337. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Jamie Regis will be officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Ft. Riley Big Red One, Ft. Riley, Kansas.
