Obituary Violet Ruth Blakslee Coffeyville resident Violet Ruth Blakslee died Sunday May 28, 2006 in Coffeyville. She was 85. Ruth was born October 4, 1920 in Kansas City, Missouri to Steven Nicholas and Beulah Jane Howard Hader. She was raised and attended schools in Coffeyville. In 1940 she was united in marriage to EpheramAbe Wright. The couple was married in Independence. Abe died on June 23, 1972 and on August 24, 1973 she married Everett Blakslee. Ruth worked in the Coffeyville Memorial Hospital Cafeteria and she had worked many years at the Ammunition Plant in Parsons. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Coffeyville. Survivors include, her husband Everett Blakslee of the home, a son Bill Dean Hader and wife Norma of Coffeyville; grandsons Brad Hader and wife Tammy of Andover, Kansas, Jeff Hader and wife Lori; one great-grandson Zach Hader all of Wichita and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband EpheramAbe Wright, a son Donald Eugene Wright, a sister Irene Hills and two brothers George and William Hader. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 1, 2006 in the Penwell-Gable Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Reverend Richard Jenkins of the First Southern Baptist Church will officiate and burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday at 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM and on Thursday 9:00 AM until service time.
