Ruth Mcleran

Ruth M. McLeran, 95, Bartlesville, Oklahoma formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Friday, February 24, 2006, at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. Ruth was born September 9, 1910, in Yates Center, Kansas the daughter of Ralph and Leona Cannady Mountford. She graduated from Washington High School in Coffeyville, Kansas. She graduated from the NEO School of Nursing. Ruth was a homemaker and worked as a nurse in Indpendence, Kansas. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Chapter IE of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She did volunteer work for the Salvation Army and was a life member of the hospital auxilliary. She married Don R. McLeran March 14, 1936, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He passed away July 21, 1997. Other survivors include: 1 Son: Vic McLeran Bartlesville, Oklahoma 1 Daughter: Dana Bordine Pineville, Missouri 3 Grandchildren 5 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother. She was also preceded in death by one son Doug Michael McLeran in 1939. A funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2006, at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Burial will follow the service at the Fairview City Cemetery. Mrs. McLeran will lie in state from 5-9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army left in care of the funeral home.
