Ruth Evelyn Rexwinkle, 79, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma only 6 days shy of her 80th birthday. Ruth was born on May 1, 1931 in Hobart, Oklahoma to C.D. and Madge Allen Turner. She grew up and attended school in Wichita, Kansas where she received her high school education. At age 20 she was united in marriage to CliffordBud Rexwinkle on June 28, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Wichita. In 1960 they moved to Bartlett, Kansas and, in 1961, moved to a farm in Oklahoma east of South Coffeyville. In 1994 they moved to South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Clifford preceded her in death on May 7, 2001. Ruth had been living in Bartlesville, Oklahoma at the Green Country Retirement Community since October of 2010. Ruth attended church at the Pleasent View Church of God in rural South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and used to be a member of the Valeda Friendly Neighbors. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family, espeically the grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Melvin and wife, Ann of Coffeyville, KS, David and wife Geanine of So. Coffeyville, OK, CharlesButch and wife, Karla of Afton, OK daughter Carol Ann Davis of So. Coffeyville, OK fourteen grandchildren, Joe, Kate, Mark, Laurinda, Kim, Rachel, David, Justin, Lacey, Christina, Jason, Sean, Stephenie and Andy and twenty greatgrandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, C.D. and Madge loving husband, Clifford son, Darrel Glen grandson, Jeffrey Randal and soninlaw, Stephen Davis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Pastor Bill Bath will officiate. Burial will follow in North Edna Cemetery in Edna, Kansas. Friends may call on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, KS to sign the guest register. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home Thursday evening. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
