Sandra Kay Tullis, 81, of Metter passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Tullis was born the daughter of Sanford and Helen Back in Oswego, Kansas. When she was young, she married the love of her life, Mr. Randall Tullis. She lived most of her life in Coffeyville, Kansas but has resided in Metter for the past five years. During her time in Metter, she became an active member of New Life Baptist Church. She enjoyed serving in the church, especially Operation Christmas Child. Mrs. Tullis loved to express her creative side by creating jewelry in her spare time. She also loved to spend her time shopping. Mrs. Tullis spent years working in the food service industry, where she made lifelong friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tullis was preceded in death by her loving husband, Randall Tullis; a brother, Stanley Back; and a granddaughter, Ashton Bryant.
Surviving is a son Douglas Tullis of Independence, Kansas; a daughter, Kimberly Bazemore of Metter; her grandchildren, Dusty (J.K.) Crews and Zachary (Kim) Bryant; and her great-grandchildren, Ethan Stark, Kenneth Colton Crews, Dylan Crews, and Kinsley Bryant.
A Memorial Service will be held under the direction of Ford-Wulf Bruns Chapel on Saturday, May 6,2023, at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1501 W. 9th, Coffeyville, Kansas at 10am, with Richard Graves officiating. The family will also receive friends at Central Church of the Nazarene on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 6 to 8pm. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made payable to Operation Christmas Child at New Life Baptist Church, P.O. Box 714 Metter, Ga, 30439. Please make note that the donation is for Operation Christmas Child.
