Obituary Minnie W. McCall Sara Coffeyville resident Sara McCall died Friday morning June 2, 2006 in Coffeyville. She was 101. Sara was born November 18, 1904 in Delavan, Kansas to Thomas Boyd and Minnie Jane Cooper Wilson. She attended high school in Neodesha. On June 2, 1926 she married Dean V. Nichols he preceded her in death on October 31, 1968. From 1965 until 1970 she made her home in Tulsa and in 1970 she moved to Coffeyville. On June 13, 1973 she was married to Harvey Thomas McCall. He also preceded her in death on May 9, 1993. She and Harvey made their home in Coffeyville. They were members of the Chief Dog Campers and traveled throughout the United States; visiting all but six states. They loved to spend the winter months in Texas or Arizona. Sara was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Coffeyville, The Salvation Army Auxiliary, AARP and the Friendship Club. She is survived by her loving daughters, Shirley and husband Ray Griswold of Coffeyville and Dorothy Jeanine Busby of Laguna Park, Texas; a step-daughter Dorothy Louise Cody of Enid, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and six step-grandchildren. Along with both husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Robert Wilson, a sister Ethel Merilatt and one grandson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 5, 2006 in the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Wayne Norton will officiate and burial will follow at 2:00 PM in the Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas Friends may call on Saturday and Sunday from noon until 9:00 pm at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf Bruns Funeral Home to sign the guest register.
