Sarah Opal Eubanks 1912 2007 Sarah Opal Eubanks of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was 94. Mrs. Eubanks was born July 12, 1912 in Coffeyville to Samuel Marion and Lena Leota Lyons Robinette. She attended Coffeyville schools. On June 29, 1931 she married John C. Eubanks in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. After their marriage they farmed east of Coffeyville until 1961 when they purchased a shoe repair shop in Altamont, which they operated for a year before moving the business to Coffeyville. Located at 721 Union Street, the business was known as Johns Shoe Repair. They operated the business until Mr. Eubanks death on March 23, 1974. Mrs. Eubanks is survived by her daughter, Virginia Jean Motley of Coffeyville; son, John D. Eubanks; brother, Floyd Robinette of Coffeyville. There are seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Gerald; three bothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2007 in Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Larry Cracraft of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimers Special Care Unit of Windsor Place co Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
