Sarah Pruitt

Sarah Jean Pruitt formerly of Coffeyville was received into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Wichita Presbyterian Manor, in Wichita, Kansas.

Sarah Jean Lee was born on July 15, 1929 in Camden, Arkansas to William Eugene Lee and Lena Caroline (Brady) Lee. She grew up and graduated High School there.

On August 27, 1949 she married John Edward Pruitt also of Camden. Together they made their way to Coffeyville where they resided together until John's passing on August 16, 2001. In addition to her commitment to her Heavenly Father, Sarah was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a servant's heart, beyond caring for her family, those deeds were not for publicity they were to honor and serve her Heavenly Father. She was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian serving in many capacities over the years.

Her children are forever grateful for the selfless love and care she gave them. A piece of scripture that best expresses their gratitude and love for their Mother; Ephesians 1:6 I do not cease to give thanks for you

A lifelong homemaker and mother, she is survived by a twin sister, Martha Grissom of Malvern, Arkansas, five children, Ed Pruitt and his wife Kathy, Susan and husband Richard Martin, Mary and husband Nyles Davis, John Pruitt and wife LaDonna, Charlie Pruitt and wife Kelly; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
