Wesley Scott Gordon, 37, died Friday, August 15, 2008, at his grandfathers home in Coffeyville. Wesley Scott Gordon was born April 17, 1971 at Coffeyville, Kansas, the son of Donald James Gordon and Debra Lee Enloe Gordon. He grew up in Coffeyville, attending Coffeyville Schools and graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1989. He attended Coffeyville Community College and later transferred to Wichita State University in Wichita. After his schooling, he began work for MCI Call Center in Wichita and worked his way up to Supervisor with the company. He transferred with MCI to Niles, Ohio where helped set up a MCI Call Center there and worked as business manager. He returned to Coffeyville where he worked as Operations Manager for Taylor Crane and Rigging for over a year. Scott was active in Debate and Forensics in High School and College and served as a tour guide for Brown Mansion while attended Coffeyville Community College. Survivors include: his mother, Debra Gordon and Bruce Kinzle of the home, and his maternal grandfather, Albert Lee Enloe of Coffeyville, his aunts and uncles, Linda and Mike McDaniel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Buddy and Marsha Whetstone of Corpus Christi, Texas, and an uncle, Donald Burns of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, his stepfather Donald, his grandmother Joan Enloe , an uncle, Ronald Enloe and his maternal and paternal great grandparents. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Coffeyville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Ford Wulf Bruns Chapel. Interment will be at the Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Although the casket has been closed, friends may call to register at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions can be made to Coffeyville Area Community Foundation for Friends of Animals these may be left with the funeral home.
