Sharon Gillespie

Sharon Kaye Gillespie, 69, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away on the morning of March 19, 2010 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born July 26, 1940 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Walter and Goldie Stamper. Sharon grew up in and attended South Coffeyville Schools and following graduation married Donnie Gillespie. They had two children and were later divorced. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, being outdoors, gardening and sunbathing. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Danny Stamper, son Ricky Gillespie, and Daughter Becky Gillespie. Survivors include: brother Leon Stamper and wife Doris of South Coffeyville, grandchildren Kyle Gillespie of South Coffeyville and Nicole Phelps of Portland, Oregon, greatgrandchildren Chase Gillespie and Timothy Phelps, nieces Jody Kitch and Debra Knisley of South Coffeyville, nephew Derek Stamper of Grove, Oklahoma, greatnieces Amber Lopez of South Coffeyville and Lacey Redmond of Rapid City, South Dakota and special friend Vickie Dick. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations to the Sharon Gillespie Memorial. A memorial service for Sharon Kaye Gillespie will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of South Coffeyville. Inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville at a later date. PenwellGabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville Kansas is in charge of arrangements.
