Sherry Lynn Rubio, not only was she a loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, she was also a wonderful friend to many. Sherry passed away at a young age of 48, but she had a wonderful 48 years of life. Sherry lived in Coffeyville, Kansas for the past three and a half years, but she was born and raised in San Bernardino, California. Sherry is met at the gates of Heaven by her mother, Sonia Cotton; her youngest son, Joseph Rubio and her nephew, A.J. Jaramillo. She is survived by her sons, Daniel Rubio of Coffeyville and Gilbert of Dilley, Texas; her three grandsons and one granddaughter; her sisters, Brenda White and her husband, Robert of Coffeyville and Shiela Eytcheson of Claremore, Oklahoma; her brothers, David Gibbons of Coffeyville and Edward Gonzales of California; her nieces, Sonia Wadewitz of Coffeyville, Amber White of Washington and Tawnie Gonzales of California; nephews, Troy Wadewitz of Coffeyville and Terry Morris, Jr. of California and James, Donald and Johnny, all of Claremore. She also has many great-nephews who will miss her so much. Sherry had a wonderful life and loved everyone she met. She will be missed by all who knew her and will never be forgotten. Sherrys family would like to thank Harry Hynes Hospice and Medicalodge of Coffeyville and are grateful for what you have done for Sherry and her family. Graveside funeral services will be held 10AM, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Graham, officiating. Service and interment are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday, 9AM-5PM at the funeral home. Family suggests that those who wish donate to the American Cancer Society in her honor and donations may be left at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
