Shirley Carlson

Shirley Mae Carlson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in Midwest City, Oklahoma following a lengthy illness. She was 72. Shirley was born June 9, 1935 in Ringling, Oklahoma to Edgar Sherrill and Nora Illene McCurley Dunn. Shirley will be remembered as a good mother and a good person. She was a member of the Del City, Oklahoma Nazarene Church. She is survived by her son, Bobby D. Allan of Peru, Kansas; daughter, Sharry Vaeth of Choctaw, Oklahoma; brother, Ronnie Dunn of McCloud, Oklahoma; sister, Glenna Dick of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Shannon Gurney, Carly Vaeth, Bryan Allan, Justin Wilson; great-grandchildren, Ty Gurney, Wes Gurney, Gabrial Allan and Ava May Allan; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncle. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar S. Dunn; mother, Illene Dunn and brothers, Jimmy and Eddie Dunn. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Bradley Dick will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel to sign the guest register.
