Shirley Ann Neria Grover, 66, of South Coffeyville, OK passed away peacefully Monday, June 16, 2008 at her home with her husband, Bill of 45 years, her daughter Neat, and her good friend, Mary Jane at her bedside. Shirley was born on July 23, 1941 in Coffeyville, KS, the daughter of Alfred and Josephine Neria. She worked at numerous locations in the Coffeyville area until 1989, when she retired to her beloved home in the Snow Creek Community, East of South Coffeyville where she enjoyed so much her friends, neighbors, and loving family. Her hobbies of gardening and fishing were very important to her. She always went out of her way to take time to visit with the elderly and those less fortunate than herself. She was best known for endless energy, work ethic, infectious smile, and blunt but well meant honesty. She is survived by her husband Bill; daughters, Lisa VanGieson of Owasso, OK, Gina Elam of Miami, OK, and MonitaNeat Bauer of Coffeyville, KS, son, Dwan Conwell of Selmer, TN, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters, Mary Ketner and Joe-Ann Payne, one brother, Rick Neria; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Tyro Christian Church, Tyro, KS. Following services, cremation will take place and she will be inurned in Mount Washington Cemetery, Lenapah, OK at a later date. Friends may call on Friday, June 20th from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel of Coffeyville, KS; where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. that evening. The family request memorials are given in Shirleys name to the Tyro Christian Church in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
