Sonja Blue-Jacket

Sonja Blue-Jacket age 69 of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on October 11, 2018 at her home with her husband by her side.

Sonja was the daughter of Harry and Abigale (Wintner) Rupert, she was born on April 8, 1949 in Coffeyville. She grew up and attended schools in Coffeyville. Sonja will be remembered as a virtuous woman. Sonja's first love and dedication was to God the Father, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, her second love and dedication was to her husband, Ronald for 46 years. Sonja often spent most of her day reading and studying the Bible. She enjoyed working on genealogy, spending time with family and her two little poodles. Ronald will cherish and remember her as a great wife, very loving and giving.

Those left to cherish memories of her life are her husband, Ronald Blue-Jacket, brother, Robert Glenn Rupert; sister, Margaret "Margie" and her husband Jerry Whittenburg; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, George Rupert; brother, Robert Glenn Rupert; sisters, Linda Hazel, Lanora Maxine Doan and Annette Mae Banks.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at River of Life Church, Coffeyville, KS 67337 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Joe Brooks of River of Life Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may sign the register on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from Noon to 5pm.
