Susan Fay George age 66 of Coffeyville passed away on February 17, 2018 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Susan was born on May 31, 1951 in Moline, Illinois to Raymond Branham and Zilla LaForte. When Susan was seven the family made Coffeyville their home. She attended school in Coffeyville where she received her diploma and walked across the stage at the age of 55 from Field Kindley High School. Susan was blessed with two sons and three daughters; they were her life and later her grand and great-grandchildren as well. She loved being a mother and made it her top priority making sure their needs were met. On March 16, 2002 Susan was united in marriage to Roger George. The couple enjoyed over 15 years of camping, fishing, traveling, country music and going on cruises together. Susan had a truly tender heart toward any and all children, she was full of love and proof of that could be found with her contagious smile.
Those left to cherish Susan's memories are her husband Roger George, sons, Travis Foster his wife Callie and Michael Walker, daughters, Vickie Branham and Teresa Foster, step-children, Patrick Smith, Melissa Deer and Rhonda Harkins, brothers, twin Tony Branham his wife Kim, Thomas Benifield, and John Benifield his wife Carrie, sister Dianna Foster, grandchildren, Hailey and Hayden Foster, Brandon Lowe, Chelsie Woods, Jaylee Sanders, Logan Frazier, Amber DeFrenchie, Kyla Gilliland, Christopher Gilliland, step-grandchildren, Madison Harkins, Makenzie Harknins, Brazae Deer, Stephanie Cole, and Heaven Deer, great-grandchildren, Draken Woods, Zayne Woods, Jaycelynn George, Julius Arredondo, Armancio Arredondo, Meiah Arredondo and Noah Fitzhugh.
She now rests with her parents and daughter Crystal Gilliland
Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Cremation will then take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Lewark Church of God. The family suggests memorials be made payable to Muscular Dystrophy Association and may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
