Susan Mccool

Susan K McCool age 70 passed away on August 26, 2017 in Tulsa, OK.

Susan was born on January 20, 1947 in Coffeyville to Warren and Ruby (Pierce) Heady. She attended Coffeyville schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School. After high school she was united in marriage to William McCool on August 6, 1965. The couple was blessed with two children. The family made their home in Tulsa, OK, Susan cared for the home and made sure the children had everything they needed. When they children were older, Susan went to work for Pennwell Publishing where she managed her department for several years. Susan enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the casino, and most of all she loved spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, time spent with them were her most treasured memories. In addition to being the most loving mother and grandmother, Susan cared deeply for her friends. She was a very strong minded person and believed things should be done her way.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Ruby Heady, daughter, Kellie Ellis her husband Tim, grandchildren, Haile Seaton and Ethan Ellis, and great-grandchild Hadlee Seaton Nephews Eddy Ray McCool, Brian McCool and Cale Heady. She was preceded in death by her father, husband of 45 years William, brothers, Warren Dale Heady and Bill Heady, and a sister Debra Ott.

Graveside services under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Thursday from 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at the Chapel. The family suggests memorials be made payable to St Jude Children's Research Hospital and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
