Thomas Wesley Lantz was a simple man who loved the Lord. Thomas was born on September 14, 1939, in Morgantown, West Virginia and was loved and cared for by Styrl and Lilly Sheets.
On June 30, 2024, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma at the Journey Home, the Lord called Thomas home to his room in the mansion that Jesus prepared just for him.
Thomas spent years traveling the United States driving a truck. Several years ago, he and his friend he met on his travels decided that it was time to leave the nomadic lifestyle behind and eventually made Coffeyville, Kansas home. Thomas never met a stranger, was always friendly and was simply the type of person everyone liked.
Thomas was faithful to the Lord, he fully committed to serving Jesus. He had attended the Pentecostal Southview Church of God, where he was disciplined by good friend and pastor John Lockaby. Thomas was so proud to have received his license in ministry and was always sharing the gospel with all that he encountered. Recently Thomas began attending Kingdom Keys Ministries where he used his gift of loving and meeting people where they were in life not passing judgment of their past. In his spare time Thomas enjoyed making beautiful crafts sharing the artistic gift that God had given him.
Wendy Lansdown was a caretaker for Thomas, but he became family to she and her husband, Dale and their children. Thomas had shared that through life’s hardships and trials he lost connection with his children back in West Virginia and didn’t know where they were now. Wendy did a little research and was able to locate David on Facebook. Upon the initial contact with them he was able to reunite with his sons, David Lantz, Sam Lantz and daughter Ruth Ann Mason. He was able to see David in person with the help of Dale Lansdown driving out to bring him to Coffeyville. He spoke daily with his children for the last two years up until he passed.
