Thomas C. Meeker Oct. 4, 1933 Sept. 28, 2006 Thomas C. Meeker, age 72, entered into rest on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Windsor Place, Coffeyville, Kansas. Thomas was born October 4, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Thomas J. Meeker and Amelia M. Barth Meeker. He was a 1951 graduate of Purcell High School, Cincinnati, Ohio. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. He attained his CPA License in 1965. On November 23, 1961 he married Janet M. Leder at the Saint Johns Church, Deer Park, Ohio. They made their home in Cincinnati. They moved to Springfield, Mo. in 1981. They later moved to Coffeyville, Kansas in 1987. Survivors include: Wife Janet Meeker of the home in Coffeyville, Kansas. 1 daughter, Michele Schultz and husband John of Copperas Cove, Texas; 1 son, Kevin Meeker, Coffeyville, Kansas. 4 grandchildren. Timothy, Thomas and Tanya Schultz and Chandler Covel. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sons, Michael, Jeff and his twin. He was a controller for Medicalodges of Coffeyville for 10 years. Mr. Meeker retired November of 1998. He also worked for security with Amazon. He also worked as a door greeter for Walmart until May of 2006. He was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus where he served as Past Grand Knight both of Coffeyville, Kansas. He also served many years as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a member of the local chapter AARP where he served as a tax aid counselor. Hobbies included woodworking and computers. Calling hoursVisitation: Mr. Meeker will lie in state on Sunday, October 1, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, October 2, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.. at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS. Mr. Meekers body will then be moved to the church prior to Rosary service. Rosary services will be held on Monday evening, October 2, 2006, 7:00 p.m., at Holy Name Catholic Church. Fr. Jerome Spexarth will be officiating. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Name Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 3, 2006, 11:00 a.m.. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Coffeyville, Ks. Fr. Jerome Spexarth will be officiating. Memorials: American Cancer Society or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice co Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
