ThomasTommy Allen Pinckney, 36, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at his home. Tommy was born November 15, 1973 in Coffeyville to Mike and Janet Pinckney. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended school. On October 19, 2002 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Penny Collins. The couple made their home in Coffeyville. Aside from him family and friends his greatest passion was racing cars. In 1999 Tommy began racing cars from the influence of his fatherinlaw Joe Collins. Over the years he has received many trophies and countless memories and friends. He always waited until that last minute to prepare his car for race day because he wanted to make sure his buddies cars were ready first. As Tommy would say dont stand around crying, we shoulddry it up and go live life. Surviving to honor his memory is his wife, Penny and daughter, KelseyDinyo JoAnn of the home mother, Janet Pinckney of Coffeyville brother, Kenneth Dewlen and wife, Michele of England sisters, Missy Bartholomew and husband, Russell of Owasso, OK, Tiffany Augustine and husband, Kent of Independence, KS and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Joe and Ann Collins of Coffeyville, his fatherinlaw and motherinlaw who Tommy treated like his own parents many close friends and racing buddies. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike and a special sisterinlaw Candy Ruark. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, OK. Friends may call on Thursday, May 13, 210 to sign the guest register at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to be made to PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns funeral home to help the family defray the cost of funeral services.
