Tia Thomas-Freeman

Tia L. Thomas-Freeman age 50 of Coffeyville passed away on October 31, 2017.

Tia was born on November 7, 1966 in Coffeyville to Jonathan and Jamesana (Kennard) Thomas. She was raised in Coffeyville and attended local schools graduating from Field Kindley High School. She worked as an aide for Hospice and local nursing homes She was united in marriage to Bennie Freeman in 2008.

Tia's memories will live on through her husband Bennie Freeman, son Prentise Norwood, sister Marcia Kennard, brother Wendell Kennard, grandchildren DeKindrick Atkins, Taniah Norwood, Jabriel Freeman, nieces TK Penn, Mahogany Penn, Tianna Kennard, nephews Marty Penn, Derrick Kennard, Wendell Kennard Jr, aunt Naomi Sweeney, uncle Jerry Kennard Sr, and many cousins and family.

She now rests with her parents, son Jarred Thomas, uncles Robert Kennard Sr, Prentise Johnson, Nathaniel Kennard, grandmothers Georgia Kennard and Rowena Thomas, grandfathers James Kennard and Floyd Thomas Sr, and aunt Rosie Leadman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 1:00pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. The family will greet friends an hour prior to service time. The family suggests memorials to be made payable to the American Cancer Society and they may be left with the Chapel.
