Timothy Datson

Timothy Lynn Datson age 64 of Coffeyville passed away on January 15, 2018

Tim was born on June 28, 1953 in Coffeyville to the late Richard "Dick" and Ann (Fitzsimmons) Datson. Tim attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School with the class of '72. After graduation he joined the workforce, finding employment with Funk Manufacturing where he worked for a number of years. He then went to work for Magic Circle before returning to Funk's where he retired in 2016 from the research and development department. He was united in marriage to Tamara Todd in 1978 they later divorced. To the union the couple was blessed with three children. Tim enjoyed music, woodworking, his motorcycle, and his family. Tim will be remembered as a happy person that loved to joke and make those around him laugh.

Tim's memories will live on through his children, Tim Datson of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Tamecca York of Shelbyville, Tennessee, and Tiffany Thompson her husband Roy of Wann, Oklahoma, his brother Steven Datson his wife Connie of Coffeyville, Kansas, grandchildren, Skyler Thompson, Danielle Thompson, Jenna Thompson and Phoebe Datson, and an expected great-grandson Lee Wyatt Owens.

He now rests with his parents and grandson Dalton Owens.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00am at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Robbins Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the Shriners Children Hospital and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
