Timothy Fitzgerald

Timothy Fitzgerald 1951-2005 Timothy Fitzgerald, age 54, died Wednesday evening, September 14, 2005 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, KS. Timothy was born March 22, 1951 in Pensacola, Florida to Julius Bernard Fitzgerald, Jr. and Bonneva Gertrude Powell Fitzgerald. The family moved from Pensacola to Allen, Kansas. They later moved to Hutchinson, Kansas 1956 where Tim attended Grade School. The family then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas 1958. Moving back to Allen, Ks. 1959 - 1964. Then residing in Coffeyville, Kansas in 1964. He was a 1969 graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School, Coffeyville. He joined the United States Navy in 1969 and served four years in Hawaii. He was honorably discharged October of 1973. He married Kristine Larsen on February 16, 1973 at the Pearl Harbor Submarine Base in Hawaii while they were both serving in the US Navy. After separation from the Navy they made their home in Coffeyville. He attended the Coffeyville Vo-Tech where he completed the Building Trade Course. He worked for the City of Coffeyville, Morrow Foundry, Union Street Meat Market, Kansas Matchplate, Templeton Woodworks. He was co-owner of D and T Fencing with Doug Grayum. He later owned and operated Fitzgerald Industries Inc., Mound Valley, Kansas. He attended Crossroads Community Church. Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, bingo, cooking and most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Survivors include: His wife Kristine of the home in Coffeyville, Kansas; His mother Bonneva G. Fitzgerald of Wichita, Kansas Three daughters, Jennifer Holman and husband Dennis of Wichita, Kansas; Heather Isle and husband Chad of Independence, Kansas; Melissa Fitzgerald, Coffeyville, Kansas. Seven grandchildren two sisters, Beverly Courington and husband Max of Goddard, Kansas; Patt Hutchison and husband John of Chanute, Kansas. One brother, Jim Fitzgerald and wife Joan of Hohenwal, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Catherine Fitzgerald of California. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Michael D. Fitzgerald. Calling time Visitation: Family and friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the Crossroads Community of Christ Church RLDS, 3906 CR 2600 Rural Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Margie Miller will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery, Allen, Kansas North of Emporia, Kansas, 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2005.
