TwylaMona Tesh, 83, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at CRMC. Mona was born on March 2, 1929 in Whatcheer, Iowa to Forrest and Ruth Schauff Welch. She grew up in Iowa where she received her high school education. She worked as a waitress for Elmer and Charlie Moon in the early 60s at the Dale Hotel. She spent many years as a Sales Representative for Avon until her retirement. In 1989 she was united in marriage to Ray Tesh in Nowata, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1997. Mona was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1022 where she served in numerous offices including Vice President and President. She also served as the Secretary for the Western Conference, Department State Chairmanship and President of the 3rd District. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 20 and MealsOnWheels. She enjoyed birds, especially owls butterflies, plants and gardens. She loved to dance and overall loved people and spending time with her friends and family. Surviving to honor her memory are her sons, Jerry Smith Sue of Davenport, IA, Jeff Lofts Kim of S. Coffeyville, OK son in law Calvin Cox of Joplin, MO, Sandra Pullins Ted Fleetwood of Springfield, MO, Kim Warren of Coffeyville, KS brother, Raymond Welch of Aldel, IL sister, Margery Murdock Ben of Clear Lake, IA eleven grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Ruth husband, Ray daughter, Janie Cox sister, Elsie Oates, Lorraina Davisson and Ann Marie Goldfinger grandson, Mark Cox. A Graveside Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville, Kansas. Friends may call on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville to sign the guest register. Family will greet friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the VFW Post 1022 Womens Auxiliary or the South Coffeyville Fire Department Auxiliary SCFDA these may be left with the funeral home.
