Tyson Wade Diver, 24 of Las Vegas Nevada, formerly of Independence, Kansas died Sunday, February 5, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident in Las Vegas. Tyson will lie in state on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m.. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6:30 8:00 p.m. at the Penwell Gabel Ford Wulf Bruns Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville, Kansas with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tyson Wade Diver Memorial Scholarship Fund. Tyson attended school in Cherryvale and was active in Wrestling, Football, FFA and 4H, where he showed Simmental Cattle during his school years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He graduated from Cherryvale High School in May of 2006. He then attended Labette County Community College for one year and then he moved to Las Vegas Nevada in 2007 where he attended the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. He was employed as a Security Officer at Silverton Casino and Lodge at his time of passing. Tyson was preceded in death by a grandmother, Ramona Buie. Survivors include his parents, Randy and Marcy Diver, Independence, Kansas, two brothers, Clinten and Corey Diver of the home in Independence, Kansas and his grandparents, Lauren and Marita Wheeler, South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Elmer and Judy Diver Coffeyville, Kansas two aunts, Shelly and husband David Stephens, Carthage, MO, Theresa and husband Mike Kuffer, Newkirk, OK four uncles ,Casey Diver Yates Center, KS, Tracy and wife Paula Diver, Wellington, KS, David and wife Julie Diver, Port St. Lucie FL, and Jason Wheeler, Medford, OK and many cousins and friends.
