Velma Miller 1923 2006 A true southeast Kansas Jewel was lost Sunday, Velma Miller, age 82, entered into rest September 24, 2006 at her residence in Coffeyville, Kansas. Velma was born December 14, 1923 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to William Henry Harrison Holderbaum and Edna Bell Aynes Holderbaum. On August 4, 1944 she married Wilbur Miller in Coffeyville, Kansas. Survivors include: Husband, Wilbur Miller, Coffeyville, Ks. 2 sons, Gary L. Miller and wife Peggy, Coffeyville, Ks. Donald D. Miller and wife Michelle, Nashville, Tn. 3 granddaughters, Michelle L., Tiffany D. Miller, Coffeyville and Brittany Bryant, Cherryvale, Ks. Great granddaughter, Monica L. Miller, Coffeyville, Ks. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Dorothy Sprague. Velma was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She was loved by everyone she came in touch with. Velma ran a daycare for many years and loved all of the children. The number of people who benefited from knowing Velma is to long to list. Velma was a member of Amazing Grace Chapel, Coffeyville, Ks. Calling hours visitation: Her body will lie in state on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2400 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Ks. Graveside services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m., September 27, 2006 at the Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Ks. Rev. Gary Stevens of the Amazing Grace Chapel will be officiating.
